Now that I have worked through the snags, very happy with the end result. Afterwards I deleted my bootcamp partition (have a single MAC O/S now) and the parallels VM is working great, in fact I didn't even have to reactivate. I was then able to reboot a few times to make sure things were working as expected. It didn't list any found operating system, instead I selected next (to repair) then selected startup repair, it forced a reboot and then the O/S loaded properly. Once it booted into the install prompt I chose to repair. Prl_vss_provider.For those that have experienced a similar problem, here is the fix that support provided:īasically I had to force the VM to boot using CD (change boot order to CD/DVD 1st then harddrive 2nd), I then had to change the CD/DVD to the physical MAC CD/DVD device instead of the Windows7 ISO image.
